This beautifully renovated Victorian summer cottage is minutes from Wasque Point at the southeastern end of Chappy. A nature reserve with picnic tables and endless beach, swimming is prohibited, but surfcasting is fantastic in these waters – so you’ll see lots of off-road vehicles pulling up to fish. And the property itself has tennis and water access – it’s only a 1/2 mile for Katama Bay beach.

In the house itself, you’ll find a big, gorgeous kitchen and plenty of room to spread out, most sun-drenched on the cozy, comfy wrap-around porch. Perfect for relaxing after a ‘strenuous’ day at the beach or having cocktails before a big lobster dinner. If most indoor hours are spent in the common spaces – kitchen, living room, dining room – then doesn’t it make sense for them to be on the second floor, surrounded by windows out to the island? I think so!
